A really cool ice bucket An ice bucket is often thought of as a necessary evil when serving drinks. What to do with the lid while fishing ice cubes out of the bucket – and where to put the pair of tongs when you are done? It is rarely neither very elegant or practical and often it is also the case that the bucket will be soaked in water from dripping or dropped ice cubes. But it does not have to be that way anymore.
Marcus Vagnby and Karina Mencke have come together in designing the ultimate bar accessories for NUANCE. This project naturally includes an ice bucket which both looks really cool and which is thought over down to the last detail.
The NUANCE ice bucket is conveniently designed so that you can use it with only one hand while holding your drink in the other. The lid is simply pushed aside and then you lightly and elegantly take the ice cubes out of the bucket using the pair of tongs which is placed in the lid.
The pair of tongs has large catching surfaces with holes in them, so that it will drip off into the bucket and not on the table. When you have taken your ice cubes, you push back the lid and put in the pair of tongs. The NUANCE ice bucket is made in highly finished stainless steel. Walls and bottom are made double so that they are thick enough to keep in the cold and the inside performance is made in pool blue ABS plastic which makes it easy to separate the cubes – also in cosy lightening.
